Short for Captioned Telephone, CapTel is a telephone designed for people with hearing loss. It works like other amplified telephones, with an important addition: Every word your caller says is displayed on the CapTel screen to read. Similar to closed captioning for TV.
Alice Tenuto joined Kassey's team in 2015, serving the Poughkeepsie area and surrounding towns. She has a severe hearing loss in both ears and is able to identify closely with the wonderful people she meets while installing CapTel phones. An avid traveler, Alice loves exploring new places and meeting new people.
Denise Murphy has been working in the Albany area with Kassey and as part of the OEI team since 2016. She loves meeting people and teaching them how to use their new CapTel phone. In her downtime, in addition to traveling and spending time with family, Denise enjoys taking photographs of nature, birds or anything that captures her eye.
Don Wales has been part of the OEI team since 2017 and has been serving folks in Buffalo and the surrounding area since then. He especially enjoys how excited customers become after he installs their phone and they realize that the lines of communication have been restored. In his down time, Don enjoys spending time with his grandkids, golfing, and cheering on Buffalo sports teams.
A member of Kassey's team since 2024, Pamela's role as an Installer for CapTel Outreach, combined with her passion for meeting and educating users, highlights her commitment to helping others. Pamela's pride in working for a Made in the USA product reflects her dedication to supporting local businesses and products. Additionally, her interests in abstract art, riding her Harley, enjoying live music, and hiking with her Doberman, Penny, showcase Pamela's adventurous spirit and love for life.
