What is CapTel?

Short for Captioned Telephone, CapTel is a telephone designed for people with hearing loss. It works like other amplified telephones, with an important addition: Every word your caller says is displayed on the CapTel screen to read. Similar to closed captioning for TV.

About Tina Marie Davern

Tina Marie Davern has lived in the Boston area her whole life, most recently on the South Shore. "I feel that joining OEI in 2014 and helping people with hearing loss was Divine Intervention. I could not be any happier than with what I am doing to help open/re-open the world to people with hearing loss. I love meeting new people and treasure the stories that I am told by our clients. At times, I feel that I am experiencing history first-hand through the stories I am told by the people that were actually there witnessing it!" When she is not working, you will most likely find Tina Marie at a field watching her youngest son playing sports, or dancing with her husband.
